The Yukon Coroner's Service protects the living through its investigations.
Chief Coroner Final Reports and inquests clarify facts and generate recommendations when they’re needed. Each recommendation is designed to prevent similar deaths in the future. Coroners pass on these recommendations to the public, governments or agencies and monitor responses.

Judgments of inquiry
Judgments of inquiry have not been issued since 2020. Investigations that do not go to inquest are now closed with the Chief Coroner’s Final Report. Some judgments of inquiry from between 2013 and 2019 are available below.
